How it works

- DHEA is a precursor hormone the body converts to androgens and oestrogens; in IVF practice it is used to support women with low ovarian reserve.
- Folic acid is needed for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation and lowers the risk of neural tube defects when taken before and during early pregnancy.
- Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) helps the gut absorb calcium and supports bone, muscle and immune health.
Dosage and how to take it
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, break or chew it, because the tablet is designed to release the medicine slowly. Usually started a few months before an IVF cycle, only on a specialist’s advice.
